Spiral From the Book of Saw (2021) Review!
Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is The Mystery Writer speaking, and welcome to the show! Today, I am reviewing Spiral: From the Book of Saw. Now, the Saw series has had a rather complex history within the horror genre. The first film is credited as bringing the rise of the Torture Porn subgenre of horror in the 2000s, and a slew of copycats followed suit with varying degrees of success. Heck, even the later sequels tried to imitate yet failed to recapture the grandeur of the original. Honestly, as someone who has seen all the Saw films, the first three and Jigsaw were by far the best ones, with everything from Saw 4 onward had serious issues from underdeveloped characters, pointless gore, an overcomplicated plot or lack of a plot, and not being memorable, these films lacked the majesty of the original film. Was Spiral yet another lazy sequel not worth your time to see, or was it a good horror film? Let's find out, but first, a brief plot summary. This film is still new, so I won't be

MORTAL KOMBAT (2021) REVIEW!
Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is The Mystery Writer speaking, and welcome to the show! Today, I am reviewing the latest adaptation of the popular video game franchise, MORTAL KOMBAT! I remember seeing the original for the first time back in the 1990s on TV one night, and that for me was my introduction to the game series. I've played a little bit of the later games, but I've never been super into video games, so I don't have much firsthand experience. Plus, I watch a ton of gaming videos on YouTube, so there's that. I guess you can say I have secondhand experience? Anyway, enough about that, let's get on with the plot! We begin with Hasashi Hanzo and his family getting MURDERED by Bi Han of a rival clan. Centuries later, we meet...COLE! Wait, what? Who's Cole? He's not in any of the games. Anyway, he's this down-and-out fighter and descendant of Hanzo who bears the mark of the dragon, making him a target for Outworld, a neighboring dimension set on conquering Earthrealm! Sub-Zero

The Mitchells vs. The Machines (2021) Review!
Hello ladies and gentlemen, this is The Mystery Writer speaking, and welcome to the show! Today, I am reviewing the newest Netflix, Sony Animation, and Columbia Pictures film, The Mitchells vs. The Machines! From the creators of The Lego Movie and Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse, aka two of the best-animated films of the last decade, The Mitchells vs. The Machines is, in fact, deserving of that 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes because it's that good. I'll admit, I didn't know what to think when I first heard about this movie, so I paid it no mind because it didn't seem appealing to me when I started seeing the posters online. Then last week, I saw some clips and trailers on YouTube because they showed up in my recommendations, and I knew I had to see this movie as soon as I can. I can now humbly say my first impressions were wrong: this movie was a total blast! What is the film's plot? It's about Katie Mitchell, a quirky girl who is about to go to film school, but her family is weird
Pros and Cons of Lucha Underground by ForeverEvanescent, journal
Pros and Cons of Lucha Underground
When I was still only watching WWE and some of TNA, this was the first company that really felt...different. Nowadays, I try and watch as much wrestling as I can such as NWA, MLW, ROW, and other companies, but back when Lucha Underground was around, it was my first taste to something different, and I loved it. And, I wanted to share what was awesome about Lucha Underground with all of you. Oh, and all of these episodes are available for free on an app called Tubi. It's also a website, and all you have to do is make a free account and you can watch all 4 seasons.
Pros:
Dario Cueto (He played the owner and general manager of Lucha Underground
Top 5 Crack Pairings by ForeverEvanescent, journal
Top 5 Crack Pairings
I don't know what possessed me to make this list, but I just felt like naming a few crack pairing that I really like and that I guarantee nobody else knows or cares about. I've made fanfictions for a few of these actually, and this list is arbitrary as I like all these crack pairings the same amount.
1. Katsuki Bakugo x Mei Hatsume (My Hero Academia)
2. Beth Vanderwood x Arana Webb (Fairy Tail)
3. Liz Thompson x Crona Gorgon (Soul Eater)
4. Rintaro Okabe x Mayuri Shiina (Stein's Gate)
5. Millianna x Sho (Fairy Tail)
Can you see potential in these ships? Or am I just nuts? Let me know in the comments section below.
Pros and Cons of WWE Cyber Sunday 2008 by ForeverEvanescent, journal
Pros and Cons of WWE Cyber Sunday 2008
First off, I want to say how I love that CM Punk is on the poster for this show, and yet he's not actually on it. Secondly, I wanted to do this PPV review because not only do I think this is a great concept that needs to be brought back, especially with how much easier and more accessible the internet is than it was in the mid 2000s, but also my fanfiction wrestling league is having it's own Cyber Sunday so I thought why not? And this show kind of proves what I've said for a while now; WWE can have very uninteresting RAWs and SmackDowns, but when it counts, they can put up an excellent PPV, like this one.
Pros:
Rey Mysterio vs Kane (A big
Favorite Cartoon and Anime Mom by ForeverEvanescent, journal
Favorite Cartoon and Anime Mom
This wasn't originally what I was going to do today, but since it's Mother's Day, I decided to so a short journal that show my favorite mothers from both a cartoon and an anime. In a lot of shows, whether they're cartoons or anime, there aren't a lot of great parents whether because they aren't there for the children or because they treat them like shit. Therefore, it makes every instance of a good anime parent refreshing. With that out of the way, let's do this;
Inko Midoriya (My Hero Academia)
Linda Belcher (Bob's Burgers)
Do you agree? Disagree? Let me know in the comments section and Happy Mothers' Day to everyone. Inspired by D34DP00 (https://www.deviantart.com/d34dp00)
Pros and Cons of WWE Battleground 2013 by ForeverEvanescent, journal
Pros and Cons of WWE Battleground 2013
Battleground has historically been a terrible PPV for the company. So I decided, why not review every Battleground PPV that has happened? Let's start with the first, and one of the worst, the one in 2013.
Pros:
Alberto Del Rio vs RVD (This was a really fun hardcore match, that even had some good stuff from Ricardo Rodriguez)
Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs the Shield (Great tag match with a satisfying finish that had the crowd eating out of the palm of their hands)
Cons:
Ending of Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton (Just a stupid ending that ruins the match just to artificially lengthen the feud)
Real Americans vs Great Khali and Santino Marella (I
TNA LockDown 2009 Classic Review by ForeverEvanescent, journal
TNA LockDown 2009 Classic Review
Another TNA PPV review, thanks to Impact's YouTube channel having the full PPV for free. Maybe I'll review their first ever PPV down the road. Mike Tenay and Don West are on commentary. Not as good as Tenay and Borah, but I always liked Don West. He at least sounds excited to be there, even if he isn't the best wrestling announcer out there. The gimmick of this PPV is that every single match is going to be contested inside a steel cage. It's interesting, and the concept has proven to have legs. The previous Lockdown, with the classic Kurt Angle vs Samoa Joe world title match, is considered one of the best PPVs TNA has ever done. Can this inst
